Hey All,

I have put a lot of thought into what our next steps should be as a nation. Please read and provide feedback.

We have reached the point where we can no longer afford to root for this administration to lose. The stakes are too high. Now more than ever, we need to unite as a country and as a species. I plan to bite my tongue when it comes to what we should have done and focus on what needs to be done now. The White House’s COVID-19 press event today was the best one yet since the outbreak began. It was clear that the President is now listening to the experts and giving us fairly direct information. The primary focus was on health, and the secondary was economics, which is the correct order. We are facing a radical problem and as such our leadership will have to take radical action in order to deal with it. This action will not be popular, but radical action will be necessary if we want to avoid significant damage to our nation and its citizens.

Proposed Action Plan:

1. Put the country on full lock-down for one to two weeks. Only essential infrastructure will remain open. All nonessential air travel will be ceased. The better we do at isolation, the faster this thing will start to go away.
2. Pay hotels to turn themselves into quarantine/test clinics or makeshift hospitals. This will help bail out hotels…
